Abstract：Alice Munro：Writing Her Lives by Robert Thacker is a biography that combines authenticity with literariness. In the chronical narrative starting from Alice Munro’s birth to her life in 2009, Thacker investigates Munro’s family history in detail with a parallel study of Munro’s autobiographical writing, thus it manifests both the weight of histoiricity as well as literariness.
