Abstract: Lai Teck was Secretary-General of Communist Party of Malaya. He enjoyed high prestige in the party. He was also a triple agent for France, the UK and Japan and launched waves of disastrous destruction to the Party. The man who exposed his atrocity and put an end to his life, however, was Chin Peng, his successor and a man that he most trusted. What kind of man is Lai Teck? What is his purpose? What are his relations with Chin Peng? All these become core issues in the study of history of WWII in Southeast Asia, of international communist movement and of spy warfare.
