Abstract: To depict modern Chinese writers on a movie or television screen, a director is not only faced with how to effectively use the public’s curiosity and avoid the requirement of shaping perfect image of the writers, but also faced with how to respect and make full use of historical data and texts, avoid stereotyped images,and give full play to the advantages of media creativity, to successfully achieve the image interpretation of modern Chinese writers .
