Abstract: Emily Dickinson is a world-renowned poetess and thus her writing career, life experience and mental evolvement have drawn interest from many specialists and common readers. Dickinson’s early biographers used to be her relatives or friends, who co-shaped an image of mysterious, legendary and ingenious poetess. Despite the fictional elements and some artificial pretension, exaggeration, distortion, alienation and deformation, these early biographies did play an indispensable role through the establishment of mutual-forming and propelling way of literature dissemination in the rapid elevation of Dickinson’s literary status in America.
